Cristian Lai
Brief Bio
Cristian Lai is a researcher with extensive experience in knowledge management and a member of CRS4's ISOC (Information SOCiety) group since 2000, and one of the project managers of the Smart Environments and Technologies team. She is expert in artificial intelligence (AI), information retrieval, ontology engineering, and Open Data. Skillful in Sensor Networks and IoT. Proficient in research on a new framework to combine Sensor Networks and mobile robots’ components in a semantic cooperative group of devices for Smart Environments. She is a member of DART International Workshop steering committee on information filtering and retrieval in collaboration with the University of Cagliari and the University of Bari. Reviewer in several major Computer Science conferences and journal scientific committees. Initiator and developer of several software prototypes. Proficiency in Open Data and its application in the public sector as well as in the private one. Co-founder of Datinanta, a non-profit association promoting crowdsourced open data in Sardinia.
Alessandro Giuliani
University of Cagliari

Brief Bio
Alessandro Giuliani is a Post-doc at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (DMI)), University of Cagliari group. His main research focus ranges over Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Information Filtering, Text Categorization, and Web Mining. In particular, during his past research activities, he investigated several novel algorithms, techniques, and applications on Contextual Advertising.
Giovanni Semeraro
University of Bari Aldo Moro

Giovanni Semeraro, has a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy, where he is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and teaches “Intelligent information access”, “Natural language processing”, and “Programming languages”. He is responsible for the Master of Science in Computer Science and leads the Semantic Web Access and Personalization (SWAP) research group “Antonio Bello” at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy. His research interests include AI; recommender systems; language games; intelligent information mining, retrieval, and filtering; semantic and social computing; machine learning; natural language processing; the Semantic Web; personalization.

DART 2015 intends to provide a more interactive and focused platform for researchers and practitioners for presenting and discussing new and emerging ideas. It is focused on researching and studying new challenges in intelligent information filtering and retrieval. In particular, DART aims to investigate novel systems and tools to web scenarios and semantic computing. In so doing, DART will contribute to discuss and compare suitable novel solutions based on intelligent techniques and applied in real-world applications.
